Frequency Asked Questions
1
What services do you provide?
At Worrywell, we offer individual, family, couples, and group counseling. We do not treat active substance abuse/use or eating disorders. Our master’s and doctoral level providers are skilled in a variety of therapeutic approaches. Our clinical supervisors conduct the initial therapeutic intake to ensure that we match you with a therapist who is a good fit, both interpersonally and clinically.
We also offer comprehensive testing to provide information about a person’s strengths and challenges, diagnostic clarity, and to guide treatment (e.g., special education services). We specialize in ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities.

We will provide an estimate of your out of pocket expenses prior to your first visit as a courtesy, however, you as the client are responsible for the understanding of your cost for the behavioral health services we provide. If you would like to know more about how to request benefits information from your insurance, please reach out to the billing department.

Finding the right therapist is a little bit like dating; sometimes we just don’t mesh well with one another. What is a neuropsychological examination?
The neuropsychological examination involves a battery of tests that measure a person’s language, visual spatial skills, processing, working memory, attention, reasoning, problem solving, logical analysis, multitasking, memory, academics, psychological/emotional, and social functioning. Performance on these tests provides information on a person’s functioning and allows for making diagnoses, understanding an individual’s particular pattern of strengths and weaknesses, and to guide treatment. We specialize in diagnosis of ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities.
12
What should I expect on the day of my evaluation?
Testing is typically scheduled from 9am-2:30pm. A variety of activities will be completed, including working with blocks, answering questions, and completing puzzles. Some activities may involve paper and pencil, others are question and answer, computers, pictures, blocks, or other materials. No one gets every answer correct or finishes every item. The most important thing is to put forth the best effort possible. Depending on the person's age and approach to testing, the session may be a little shorter or a little longer than the expected duration (9am-2pm).

What about medication?
We do not offer medication management services at Worrywell; however, we have collaborative relationships with many great providers in the area.
